What is eFiling and how can I do it?

What is eFiling and how can I do it?

Pursuant to California Rules of Court, Rule 8.70 and California Supreme Court Rules Regarding Electronic Filing, filings for certain document in civil and criminal proceedings and matters arising from a judgment of death can be made through the court's electronic filing system (TrueFiling).

Notwithstanding the requirements set forth in California Rules of Court, Rule 8.500(f)(1), submission of a petition for review through TrueFiling that is accepted for filing by the Supreme Court constitutes service of the petition on the Court of Appeal. E-filing will be voluntary beginning July 10, 2017, and mandatory on September 1, 2017.
