How many attempts do you make?

This is one of the most commonly asked questions. It seems that through the years Process Serving Companies are trending to limit the amount of attempts so they can keep their Fee for Service low. This is sort of a "Catch 22" situation, because if you contract one of these companies that limit to 3 attempts, they are no longer a "RESULTS" motivated company, they become an "ATTEMPT" motivated company.


There are many companies that will give you a price for making 3 attempts. Be wary of these companies. They make 3 random attempts that may or may not make any sense as far as to their timing of attempts. Since they are no longer motivated by "Results" you have no control on when they make their attempts. For instance, an "Attempt" motivated company may make a residential attempt at 10:00 AM on a weekday at a residence. What happens if the person you're looking for works 9-5 during the week? That attempt is worthless, but they will still count that a one of your 3 attempts. Conversely, if a "Results" motivated company makes a residential attempt, their first thought would be "what if the defendant works during the day". So a "Results" motivated company will make that first residential attempt after 7 PM on a weekday where there is a 90% chance that the defendant will be home and not at work. Again, "Attempt" motivated companies just want to get the 3 attempts in and then ask you for more money...by then it's too late for you. You're already invested with this company, you'll probably end up paying for the additional attempts. Now...how much cheaper was this company after you've paid for additional attempts?

At TASC, Process Serving is not about “Attempts” Its about “Results”. You’ll notice in our Google Reviews we get “Results”. We don’t have limits on our attempts per say, but typically, if we don’t get the document served by the 3rd attempt there is probably a good reason for that, such as a bad address or someone is avoiding service. We can usually tell by the 3rd attempt whether or not the job is still considered a “Routine” service. Once we figure out what the difficulty is, then we can discuss other methods or "manners of service" to get the job done.

So, you need to ask yourself, “Do you want to pay for "attempts" or do you want to pay for Results?” Don't get fooled by the seemingly lower fees, order your job with TASC and get RESULTS!
